Meet Allan Morris

Allan is the author of Allan Morris Public Poet, a book that includes many of his poems such as Ode to the Air Force, Lament for a Fountain, Tribute to God, Ode to a Shirt, and many more.
A sample of his poetry style is “Young Soldier Doug.”
Young soldier Doug traveled far,In a very trustworthy blue car,Dressed all in green,Proud to be seen,He came home with a shiny new star.
Most of Allan’s first 22 years were spent in Childersburg, Alabama. He began writing in the ninth grade, including a short story, but soon discovered poetry was his cup of tea. During his high school years, he wrote over 200 poems.
His poem, Ode to the Air Force, is on audio along with other poets. His poem A Morris to Remember is included in an anthology.
Allan recieved a certificate for the 60+ category at the B. B. Comer Library for his poem Tour of the Clock .
